POPupDADA
is located in Zurich, Switzerland. It fosters, initiates and bridges a whole set of working solutions for societies experiencing permanent liminality. It calls for action and concrete policy how and why art (Dadaism), architecture + science could be a toolbox for conflict resolution, mediation and healing processes in transitional or transformative spaces (e.g. war). Apart from international relations’ various designs: federalism, asymmetric federalism, confederal association, consociation, including peace truces, art appears to be an additional toolbox in mediating, assisting and unlocking perpetual peace and democratization. The ASST studies and emphasises the role of transitional spaces or liminal places where a transitional experience occurs as betwixt-and-between state; however, the final (aggregation) is not yet before us.
Make it stand out.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
RAVE NOTES: IF NIETZSCHE WAS A DJ
If Nietzsche (1844 – 1900) was a DJ what kind of sounds would he be putting into his sets: Apollonian or Dionysian? Would Nietzsche’s music shine with the reason, harmony, as associated with the-athletic-golden-hair-curled the God of Light—Apollo?, or would his DJ-sets behind the turntables create unique sounds on the stage with the ecstatic energy constantly evolving into chaos, trance, and eternal repetitions; in short: Dionysius—the God of messy hair, and unchecked reason?

We were always taught that art creates problems and design solves them. Is that an overly limiting way to think of our practice? Are we closing ourselves off to interesting opportunities by not embracing the role of troublemakers?
Speakers include Mark Novo, Sofia Pazari, Sandra Cami, Kevin Matsuya, Chase Nevins, Ida Kester, Helen Gates and more.
Enjoy live demonstrations of papermaking, Japanese calligraphy, screenprinting and other craft traditions with applications to both art and design.
